My journey into UI/UX design began long before I even knew what those terms meant. As a child, I was fascinated by computers and loved solving problems. I still remember helping my dad with his computer issues at a very young age.

Initially, I pursued a career in journalism, working as a reporter for Galaxy TV. This experience sharpened my storytelling abilities and deepened my understanding of audiences. However, I gradually found myself more interested in the digital side of content creation. I realized that my true passion lay in creating interactive experiences rather than just telling stories.

This realization led me to transition into UI/UX design. Starting from scratch, I immersed myself in design principles and user research. Earning the Google UX Design Certificate from Coursera was a pivotal moment, providing me with the foundational knowledge and confidence to take on real-world projects.

My first major experience in UI/UX design was during an internship at Paramount Students, where I was part of a team designing a web platform to simplify student housing. This project underscored the importance of user-centered design and taught me how to create intuitive user flows that truly serve a purpose.

Since then, my journey has gained momentum. I’ve taken on freelance projects with companies like El-Jara Connections and Mega Dispatch, where I led design initiatives, honed my skills, and embraced roles as a problem solver and user advocate.

Each project has pushed me to innovate and expand the boundaries of digital design.

Beyond titles and projects, what truly drives me is creating designs that resonate with people. I believe the best designs anticipate user needs and seamlessly blend form and function. Whether I’m conducting research, sketching wireframes, or collaborating with developers, my goal is always to craft digital experiences that people love.

Outside of work, I engage in activities that fuel my creativity. I’m an avid researcher, constantly exploring new topics and design trends. Binge-watching series, podcasts, and gaming streams keep me connected to current user preferences, while my love for music and gaming sharpens my understanding of user experience and strategic thinking.

Looking back, every step of my journey has shaped me into the UI/UX designer I am today—passionate about creating meaningful, user-centered designs. And I’m excited for what’s next, because in design, there’s always something new to learn and create.
